SGRRIM&HS Celebrates Lohri with Festive Zeal and Cultural Spirit

SGRR Institute of Medical & Health Sciences transformed into a radiant haven of warmth and joy for the annual Lohri celebration. Under the starry winter sky, the golden glow of the towering bonfire pierced the crisp night air.

The evening ignited with a traditional tilak ceremony, where we joyfully welcomed our Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Prathappan K. Pillai, Vice Chancellor of SGRR University, along with Cultural Head Dr. Nidhi Jain, Dr. Shashi Munjal, Dr. Puneet Ohri, and Dr. Neenu Kaul. As the fire roared to life, the pulsating beats of dhol drums and a thumping DJ set took over, pulling everyone into a whirlwind of energy. Students, faculty, and guests alike made their offerings, seeking blessings for prosperity and health, before surrendering to the rhythm - dancing with abandon in circles around the bonfire. The night was fueled by classic Lohri snacks: crunchy popcorn, roasted peanuts, sweet revari, syrupy jalebi, and sizzling pakodas, shared with laughter and stories under the golden blaze.

This event was beautifully organized by the SGRRIM&HS cultural team, including Sehaj Pratap Singh, Samyak Singh, Anushka, Shreyansi Singh, Raj Shah, and Bhumi Puri, with invaluable guidance from facilitators Jaipratap Singh Sidhu, Oneeka Setia, Vaishali Verma, Abhinav Madaan, and Tamanna Sharma.

The vibe of the Lohri celebration was pure magic, leaving lasting memories of unity, joy, and the timeless spirit of togetherness.
